I tried what you suggested. Turns out you can’t access hotstar premium at all even if you use VPN. I’m using expressvpn but premium content cannot be accessed using the VPN even after clearing browser’s cache. I was trying to watch the latest episode of Game of thrones sitting in the US but sadly i would have to wait to get back to India to do it.

I apologize buddy but i think they can now detect proxis & VPN, same happened when I tested with mine too. Sorry you had to go through that. Yes you can simply switch on the VPN and access any website you want with any server close to the USA with good speed. I will recommend trying either Canada or Netherlands (a bit far but fast). You can visit Putlocker, WatchSeries and WatchTVSeries, just make sure your VPN is on, don’t want to risk the ISP noticing it and sacrificing your privacy. The ISP will never know what website you are accessing with VPN on.
Just to be sure, try again and see if you can use a different server. Clear your browser cookies , delete all cookies & app data. Connect your VPN to India server, go to IPLocation.net make sure your location is India in all boxes otherwise your VPN is leaking DNS try a different service.
When you have the Indian IP Address, go to hotstar and you will be able to watch for free. Dont give the browser your location when and if it asks you.

Can you advise which of any of the VPN providers are able to provide streaming of “premium” content from Hotstar. I have subscribed with both VPN Express and NordVPN. 1. Clear your browser cache or use Incognito mode
2. Then connect your VPN to an india server
You should be able to watch it then. I have been watching the ICC champions trophy on it from both home and office, so i can assure you it works.

Hi sanjay, the HotStar service only takes payments from Indian based credit cards, same problem with me. You might want to contact a relative or friend in India to get access to an Indian bank and then subscribe to its credit card. I did the same!

the first thing to do it clear your browser’s cache or use the Incongnito mode in Google Chrome.
What probably happened is your VPN leaked your DNS and hence the HotStar website & app caught on to you. I recommend clearing cache then connect VPN and try using the service it should be absolutely fine.
If it doesnt work even after that do gimme a buzz and i’ll see whats wrong.
